Taking the test is an option for anyone who did not earn a traditional high school diploma but is looking to further their education or apply for jobs. If you have passed the GED and need your transcripts, you'll have to contact the center or state where you took the test, complete any necessary forms, and pay the required fees.

    Mail in a request if your state requires it. A few states, such as HI, MN, MT, NH, NY, and WI require you to download a transcript request form and mail it in along with your payment.
